Description
Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:
- 1986 -1987 Ford Aerostar Van
- Does NOT FIT Ranger or Bronco II
ONLY FITS Toyo Kogyo TK5 gearbox specific to Aerostar:
- Square, slightly diamond base bolt pattern (54mm wide x 56mm long)
- White plastic OE shifter base
- 20" from base flange to top of knob; 30% throw reduction
Kit includes chrome stick #0085 & classic knob, base assembly, lower bushing cup, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. The base is built by Core Shifters using parts from Hurst suppliers inside a custom housing:
- High-strength billet steel gear selector stub
- Hardened steel cross-pin & stainless steel fulcrum pivot ring
- Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
- Glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum socket with steel wear clips
- Rubber oil control seal with steel retaining ring
- Extruded aluminum housing with Spirolox steel support ring
- CNC-machined billet aluminum base
- Laser-cut steel lid
