*** NOT as pictured. The Hurst stick shown was discontinued a decade ago. This kit includes a simple black steel short stick on an angled stub (same base as the chrome stick kit). Unlike the original, this one has a shorter knob height and is entirely hidden by the console boot. Works great!!!***
Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 6 speed manual trans in:
- 1993-2002 Chevrolet Camaro - Z28 & SS
- 1993-2002 Pontiac Firebird - Formula & Trans Am
Only fits T56 6 speed manual trans specific to these models
- Does NOT FIT 5 speed, other T56, GTO, Holden, or any other model; NOT for custom use - see swap bases
Kit includes a black short stick, base assembly, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, and installation instructions. Lower bushing cup not included (reuse existing or buy separately). Comparable to Hurst #3915060 but with a shorter stick. Overall height from base flange to top of knob is ~11.2". Throw is reduced by ~35%.
- Knob height ~ 1" lower than stock
- Accepts stock knob or any knob with M16 x 1.50 thread

The base is built by Core Shifters using proven components inside a custom housing:
- High-strength billet steel gear selector stub
- Hardened steel cross-pin & stainless steel fulcrum pivot ring
- Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
- Glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum socket with steel wear clips
- Rubber oil control seal with steel retaining ring
- Extruded aluminum housing with Spirolox steel support ring
- Laser-cut steel lid & baseplate
